Blue MedSpa Helps Klips4Kidz Fight Childhood Cancer
Six Women Shave Heads for Cancer Awareness
Huntsville, AL - When six local women sat down in Troy Nixon's chair
they were there on a mission. The six ladies came to see Blue MedSpa's leading stylist not for the latest style
but to have their heads shaved as part of Kipz4Kids effort to raise awareness for childhood cancer. Over 12,000
children are diagnosed with cancer each year and cancer is the leading cause of disease related deaths in
children. Klipz4Kidz raises awareness about childhood cancers in hopes that the shaved heads will not only
help create new wigs for cancer victims but will draw attention to the needs of these children.
"It is the privilege of a mother to sacrifice for her children. It is an honor to sacrifice for children you
don't know, but know need you", said Diana Lipski, Vice President and Co-Founder of Klipz4Kidz. Money raised
through the event will help Tennessee Valley children get treatment and will benefit the Pediatric Oncology
Unit at Huntsville Hospital.
Blue MedSpa at the Bridge Street Town Centre was proud to host this unique event and support an important
cause. "What these women did is truly inspiring." said Troy Nixon. "At Blue MedSpa we work to make our clients
not only look good but feel good by living a well lifestyle. These women showed today that looking good
doesn't just come from the right hairstyle - it comes from inside when we feel good about ourselves and lead
a balanced life."
