- Find time to move your body. The benefits of exercise are cumulative so a little here and there adds up. Did you know that when you are at rest you only burn 1 calorie a minute. When you walk you burn 3-4 calories per minute and when you walk the stairs, you burn 10 calories per minute. Now there is the motivation to take the stairs instead of the elevator!
- Get the whole family involved with planning meals. Give them the mission of picking foods with lots of color. Each meal should have a minimum of 4 colors. Build great healthy habits for you and your family by getting creative and making healthy eating fun.
- Stress is a choice. The next time you are feeling overwhelmed… STOP, BREATHE and ask yourself how do you want to be different? How would you rather be feeling? Remember you always have a choice in how you will respond. Set your intention to handle all situations with clarity, calm and ease vs. reacting in stress and frustration that will ultimately take more of a toll on you and your health than anyone or anything else.
